May I have a Word with You Lord?

Remembering that you are in control Lord.

Arthur Pink includes a quote from his book "The Anti Christ",  from a book from the beginning of the 2nd Century ""The Teaching of the Apostles,". This is remarkable if you look at how it ties to everything now.

"For in the last days the false prophets and the destroyers shall be multiplied, and the sheep shall be turned into wolves, and love shall be turned into hate. For when lawlessness increases, they shall hate and persecute and deliver up one another; and then shall appear the world-deceiver as Son of God, who shall do signs and wonders, and the earth shall be delivered into his hands, and he shall do lawless deeds such as have never yet been done since the beginning of the world. Then shall the race of men come into the fire of trial, and many shall be offended and shall perish, but they who have endured in their faith shall be saved under the very curse itself."

Looking at this passage is God telling us something about the present and the  "sheep turned into wolves?" While the sheep are becoming the wolves, dictating to the Shepherd how to care for them, he must still protect the flock even as they act like rabid animals.
Isn't the passage just telling us that even if the sheep thinks that it is a wolf, acts like a wolf, it's still just a sheep!  Either way I will remain the Sheepdog, and the Shepherd.

The Cross that He loved us on.

When you hear, say, or see a cross most people don't truly understand what that means. Imagine yourself walking around in the First Century, in Jerusalem, Rome, all over Asia Major and Minor. Up and down the roads bodies are hanging, some dead, some of the people screaming in agony for days. As you are walking into town, you see these people for (what ever reason they were found guilty of something) just hanging there. Hands are nailed, feet are placed on each other and nailed into an angled board that is nailed into the "cross". The individual has had both legs or knees shattered, so they can not take the weight off their hands or shift weight from their feet.
The cross and to be crucified was such a terrifying experience the Jews and Gentiles (non Jews) did not use the word "Cross". If they had known somebody that had been crucified or had a family member that had been, out of respect and not bring sure upset. They used terms like, "they rose him up" or, "he was risen at dawn" "he was raised for the crime of....". These terms were used for the way that the person was laid on the wood then once nailed they would "raise" them to an upright position very painfully. The cross was not a good thing at all!!
When Jesus the Son of God, was beaten, tortured, then crucified you can imagine the emotional pain from those He loved and those that loved Him. No way we could ever imagine the physical pain that one would go through during an experience like that.
Jesus did this willingly, sacrificing Himself for our sin and death. While hanging there dying, He prayed for the very ones that had mocked, tortured, and nailed Him to the Cross where He died. He did all of that for you and me, for every bad thing that we have done and every bad thing that we will do.
3 days later He was "Risen" again, from death, and was seen walking around for 40 days! Many accounts bare witness to this being true!!  He then "ascended" into Heaven to take His place at the right Hand of God.
This Easter when the kids are on spring break and you see the signs of "He has Risen", remember that has a Double Meaning. He was "Risen on the  Cross", then He was "Risen from the Grave"!!
This Easter and every time you see a Cross understand that only God could take something so horrific and cruel, and turn that into something so Great, Good, and a sign of Hope!  For this is the true symbol for Jesus's love for us and the sacrifice that He made for our Sin! God Bless!!!  Jeremy Greer

Do you plan on incorporating Jesus into your New Year's resolution?

How many will waste time on silly resolutions that they won't keep, or will you be disciplined this year to go through with it. Do you have one that includes more time for Jesus, not just an hour on the weekends? Will you sit back this year and just worry about your Gluten intake, or will you worry about salvation for yourself and others this year?  I pray this year that we rise above the false narratives and the devil's constant influence over our society and our children.
Political Correctness is a hall pass for unrighteousness, and only allows desperation, fear, anger, depression and uncertainty. (the whole point by the way). When you can't say NO, you are a man, and NO you are a woman, you just allowed someone to wonder of the edge of a cliff that YOU are tethered too. Being Male or Female is not a platform for equality or individualism, it is a fact of science, nature, and common sense. This false narrative to dehumanize everyone, perpetuated by media is a push by evil to diminish the basics of humanity. Why do we as Christians feel that we can't say anything, or make sure that accountability is being made to those that allow it? This is not freedom from religion, or oppression. It's a form of non-reality insanity, and a lack of self-responsibility. We raise our hand to swear to tell the truth in a court of law and can go to jail if we don’t tell the truth, yet people are being allowed to sue over a make believe lie that they are telling themselves. Now the same court system says it’s wrong to tell the truth about someone’s gender or not to conform to their lie?? I pray for a revival this year!! Time to pick up the Bible and educate ourselves on what is right and wrong again.
