May I have a Word with You Lord? |
Arthur Pink includes a quote from his book "The Anti Christ", from a book from the beginning of the 2nd Century ""The Teaching of the Apostles,". This is remarkable if you look at how it ties to everything now.
"For in the last days the false prophets and the destroyers shall be multiplied, and the sheep shall be turned into wolves, and love shall be turned into hate. For when lawlessness increases, they shall hate and persecute and deliver up one another; and then shall appear the world-deceiver as Son of God, who shall do signs and wonders, and the earth shall be delivered into his hands, and he shall do lawless deeds such as have never yet been done since the beginning of the world. Then shall the race of men come into the fire of trial, and many shall be offended and shall perish, but they who have endured in their faith shall be saved under the very curse itself." Looking at this passage is God telling us something about the present and the "sheep turned into wolves?" While the sheep are becoming the wolves, dictating to the Shepherd how to care for them, he must still protect the flock even as they act like rabid animals. Isn't the passage just telling us that even if the sheep thinks that it is a wolf, acts like a wolf, it's still just a sheep! Either way I will remain the Sheepdog, and the Shepherd. |
